Join our Editorial Board

The Undergraduate Journal of Anthropology invites applications to our editorial board at the beginning of each Fall semester. The E-Board meets 3-4 times per semester and has varying levels of commitment and work load depending on the position (Associate editors have more responsibilities than copy editors: See position expectations below). Our editors have opportunities to read and edit submissions from a wide-variety of subfields and disciplines in and outside of Anthropology. We also provide workshops for peer editing and support through guided rubrics and individual subfield meeting. Many members of our board have enjoyed this process and also say that their writing has improved because of it. Feel free to email us with any questions at

Eligibility: Must be a University of Michigan Undergraduate with experience in Anthropology (through classes, labs, etc.)

Applications to the UMUJA are now closed.

If you would still like to be a part of the journal, email
